Overview

A New Zealand women’s leather fashion store with a product-focused shopping experience

Customer-measured leather clothing and accessories, from XS to 4XL or made to custom requests.

XCONS took the brand from market research to a live, fully stocked store, and now runs its SEO. The store targets a searchable niche with proven demand and no dedicated competitor.

Choosing the market

The client planned a US launch. The data said New Zealand.

A market audit of search demand and competitors moved the launch. Keyword and volume data came from Semrush and Ahrefs.

What the research found

Existing leather stores in New Zealand mostly sold jackets and basics.

The gap

No dedicated women’s leather store offering skirts, dresses, pants, vests and corsets.

The decision

Launch where demand is proven and there is no dedicated competitor.

What was built

Six things, live on day one

A full women’s leather range

Split into sub-collections for search and for shoppers.

Made-to-measure sizing

XS to 4XL, with a self-measuring guide.

Full customisation

Customers can request any custom leather product.

An SEO-ready structure

Breadcrumbs, structured data and AI-search content.

Conversion-focused product pages

NZD pricing, New Zealand-wide delivery, a short checkout path and WhatsApp contact.

Payments, shipping and tracking

Configured before launch, with all products live from the first day.

Under the hood

Search, speed and tracking

Search structure

Canonical URLs, breadcrumbs, en-NZ language setting, and organisation, website and FAQ structured data via Yoast SEO.

Speed

A LiteSpeed server with page caching, lazy-loaded WebP images and font-swap loading.

Tracking

GA4 and Search Console through Site Kit, plus Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps and session recordings.

Touchpoints

Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest links, plus WhatsApp.

The approach

How the growth system was applied (Build, Grow, Convert)

  1. Grow

    Market research

Search, keyword and competitor research across candidate markets.

  2. Build

    The store

WordPress and WooCommerce with Elementor, structured for search, speed and a large catalogue.

  3. Convert

    Sizing, customisation and checkout

Custom sizing, customisation requests, clear product pages and a short checkout route.

  4. Grow

    Ongoing SEO

Keyword and content work, Search Console checks and AI-search optimisation.

Results

Where it stands

The store launched at the end of September 2026 and SEO began in October 2026. It is too early for ranking or sales figures, so there are none here yet: real numbers will be added once there is data to report.

“Launched in a market with high demand and no dedicated competitor.”
